We took a road trip to Houston First week in April. On Interstate I-10

we passed a wine truck that carried one of our bottles of wine

that is on my wine rack (See it listed in Larry's "Wine Tales" link) and

that it was cool that this is an actual company and not just a joke

Wine. Actually it tastes pretty good.

While in Houston I saw a bumper sticker on a truck that reminded  me of me

44 years ago (not only younger, tee hee but in better shape (shit I was only 21

Yrs old

(Bet Ya can't find me)

We passed through Mississippi a few days ago and stopped at this "Mississippi Welcome Center" on I-59. What a flag

We  finished a super trip to visit friends in Amelia Island, Fl. What a fantastic & beautiful  real life "fantasy land" plantation.   Pictures don't do it justice. The beach on the Atlantic ocean is beautiful  and to add to the allure - even though  the beach is stunning - there are hardly ANY people on the beach. What a treat.

Not too many people around the beach about noon time...wow!

Our hosts George and Myrt people watching on "Georges Bench" What a great bunch of folks.

Our good friends Christy, Tommy & Tom "roughing it" on the 2 minute golf cart trip to the beach

Little Michael was there but still in Mom's belly.

While touring Fernandina Beach downtown we enjoyed some ice cream. There were some bikes parked outside that got my attention. What was missing here (compared to living in New Orleans)

How about "Bicycle Chains"!  THEY WOULD NOT LAST 2 MINUTES IN NOLA

Had a fantastic dinner at Shelly & Doug's home. Walking into this room at Doug's is this chandlier made me "horny"....tee hee

And I figured if we got stopped on the way home from Doug's

and  asked how much he had to drink he could say

"Osssifer, I only had two long necks"....

Day 15 & 16 of our trip in Atlanta, Ga.

The Atlanta bunch. Had a great time in Atlanta, just like

everywhere else on our road trip.

After 16 days on the road it's nice to sleep in your own bed.

Traveled 2800+ miles of beautiful highways, mountains

and sights. This is the FIRST road trip of our 35 years together.

We have always flown places. At last we could pack our own car

and not go through (airport) security at every town we visited.

Glad to be safely home but would not trade one

moment for the good times with family & friends over

the last two weeks that we have shared with them.
